Construction works made easy

KATHMANDU, June 21: The market of earth moving equipments in Nepal has been growing constantly in recent years due to increasing investment of the government in infrastructure development.

The demand for heavy equipment is increasing as developers are using more earth moving equipment due to shortage of labor triggered by heavy outflow of Nepali labors to greener pastures abroad.

 
JC Bamford Excavators popularly known as JCB is one of the leading manufactures of heavy earth moving equipment. It has been producing distinctive yellow-and-black engineering vehicles, diggers, excavators, tractors, and diesel engines. It now makes over 300 types of machines for construction, industry, agriculture and military engineering.
 
JCB is among the ten largest construction equipment manufacturers in the world and has 17 factories in the UK, Germany, Brazil, North and South America, India and China. The company employs around 8,000 people and has operations in 150 countries.
  
Morang Auto Works (MAW) -- the authorized dealer of earth moving equipment by JCB in Nepal -- has been selling heavy equipments since 2002.
 
“Though we started selling heavy equipments from 2002, the actual market was established by JCB in 2005,” said Sandip Chachan, the deputy general manager of Morang Auto Works - Construction and Equipment Division (JCB).
 
Morang Auto Works is currently selling nine different models of earth moving equipments -- 3DX Super Backhoe Loader, JS 81 Tracked Excavator, JS 140 Tracked Excavator, JS 200 Tracked Excavator, JS 210 Tracked Excavator, 430Z Wheeled Loader, 432 ZX Wheeled Loading Shovel, Vibromax VM 115 Soil Compactor and VMT 850 Tandem Roller.
 
The backhoe loader of JCB has features like four wheel transmission, excellent loading performance, improved excavator performance, quick inter-site movement, better cabin and improved style, among others.
 
MAW has been selling four different models of JCB excavators that have exclusive features like superior operator environment, swing system, ease of service, X type under carriage, powerful excavator end, excellent operating economy, track drive and filtration system, among others.
 
Two different types of loaders have exclusive features like massive payload, power transmission, parallel lift loader geometry, improved operator comfort and safety.
 
The soil compactors from JCB are known for high-level performance, water cooled engine, easy maintenance and operator comfort and safety. Likewise, the tandem roller of JCB has features like fuel efficiency, dual frequency performance and spacious operator station.
 
“The market of these equipments is really good these days as we have been selling about 20 machines every month,” said Chachan.
 
The purchase of earth moving equipment is done through LC (letter of credit) and the price of the machines depend on the exchange rate of US dollar, he added.
